This morning in the first room of the Court of Malindi Judge Julie Oseko accepted the proposal of the Prosecutor Alice Mathangani, also approved by the Defense of the accused, to merge the two trials to the three alleged members of the gang that on November 20, 2018 kidnapped the Italian citizen Silvia Romano in the village of Chakama.
The now sadly known affair for a month has travelled on two different tracks, on the one hand the investigations that continue with strengthened union between the Kenyan authorities that lead them and those Italian who actively cooperate in the case, on the other hand with a trial that, if on the one hand probably will not reveal anything that is not already in the hands of the investigators, will lead to a first sentence against the accused Abdalla Gababa Wario, Moses Luwali Chembe and Ibrahim Adan Omar. Ibrahim Adan Omar was called to the stand two days ago but the request to postpone the hearing until today was not accidental, he was actually waiting for the third session of the trial to coincide with the other two to proceed with the unification. 
This is what happened: everything was postponed to Friday 30 August, at 9 a.m. at the Court of Malindi. There will be 17 witnesses to listen to.
It is, of course, difficult to arrive at a sentence by that date.
