He is more than an importer of Italian products, more than a simple restaurateur, Roberto Miano is truly passionate about what he does and knows how to do, and he is on a mission in Kenya on behalf of Italian food and wine specialities. So, in addition to dividing his time between the new Roberto's Market and Wine Room at the Rosslyn Riviera Mall in Nairobi and the historic Roberto's restaurant in Nyali, Mombasa (with an adjoining supermarket), he often travels to exhibitions, fairs, events and venues to showcase the goodness, quality and experience of Italian cuisine and wine. This will be the case tomorrow, Sunday 6 July, when he will take on the role of “Chef Roberto” for a tasting of Italian specialities at Zucchini in Rhapta Road. From 12 noon, you can taste his freshly cooked pasta and excellent appetisers.
