The roadshow of Gambero Rosso, the leading platform for content, training, promotion and consultancy in the Italian wine & food sector of excellence and its promotion in the world, returns for the second consecutive year to Nairobi. After the success of the first edition of the Wine Tasting with Italian companies, Gambero Rosso is once again proposing a day of tastings with 45 Italian wineries representing a large part of our territory. Also this year, on Thursday 30 January, the invitation-only roadshow includes masterclasses in the morning, the inauguration with the Italian ambassador, Roberto Natale at 12 noon, and from 1 to 7 pm wine tasting of Italian labels. A celebration of the pleasure of one of our spearheads in wine and food (whites, reds and bubbles) that in East Africa, of which Nairobi is indisputably the hub, is becoming a reference market, having reached France and South Africa.
In 2023 imports, despite bureaucracy and taxes, grew by 17% and this year the figures could confirm an upward trend, on the podium together with what were once unapproachable holy monsters, more for quantity than quality, and above all for our variety and value for money.
