Saturday 11th a not-to-miss Malindi Clean Up

Everyone in his place to beautify the town before holidays

09-12-2021 by redazione

The responsible and united Malindi calls to action all residents and homeowners, including Italian ones, to give the town a good "clean up" in view of the holidays and the summer season that will bring local and international tourism from countries that allow travel to Africa.
The Malindi Green And Blue movement, under the aegis of PWAM, has, since the restrictions of the pandemic, continued its commitment to "Malindi Clean Up", the cleaning initiatives in the town, every second Saturday of the month, but has had to change its methods: no longer a single action in one of Malindi's neighborhoods, but many small groups that collect garbage in an area of competence, often the one in front of their business or the house.
This change in methodology has proved to be a success and every month there are more than forty situations around Malindi, including individuals, groups of friends, associations, activities related to tourism, stores and offices.
This month PWAM asks all those who until now have benefited from the will and sense of responsibility of others, to participate even in their own small way, collecting waste and keeping their surroundings clean or having their staff do it.
The initiative starts at 8 a.m. on Saturday, December 11, and by notifying PWAM's secretariat (Polly, 0736621261) you will be included in the route that will allow Kilifi County's garbage trucks to pass through the marked area.
It is an initiative that should be adopted every month and those who approach it for the first time can also join the association that not only deals with Clean Up but strives to improve every day the appeal and services of Malindi.
